Does anyone know how to speak Japanese or Korean. I know a little Japanese because I studied by myself over the summer. I want to learn some Korean because I listen to Korean music but I don't understand what they are saying. I also listen to Japanese music. I know a few words that they say, but most of it is too fast.

Hi Jameelia
I don't want to sound rude or for you to think that I am trying to insult you but.
Why join a group called "Vietnamese Language Exchange Forum" if you want to learn Japanese or Korean, sort of defeats the purpose of the whole thing

Yeah
I want to learn Vietnamese as well because that is one of my friend's native language here. I don't think that she feels confortable teaching me Vietnamese so I want to learn here. There are lots of Asian people in my city that are Vietnamese. I would like to get to know them better and not let language effect me doing so. That is why I joined the "Vietnamese Language Exchange Forum." I am interested in learning many languages to help keep my brain in shape for school. I also like to learn new things.

Kitty_Pink is one of the moderators of the biggest Vietnamese - Korean Forum and she is also respossible of the Forum "Learning Korean". We hope that you both can have efficient exchange on learning Korean and English and, why not, Vietnamese - English.

Evietnam Group and VNKROnline are now in collaboration in making a Korean language learning website.

Yes I think that I can help you with English since I know some other people whose Engilsh isn't very well. I would not laugh at your English because I know that learning a language is very hard and difficult. Thank you for your help.

I think that if you talk with fluent english speakers on IM or in person. Then they can correct you and help you understand better. I think that it does well for me.

Use Skype or YM to have voice chating with Englísh speaking friends is one of the god ways to learn English. :)

Some other Asian languages learning resources:

Japanesepod101.com
Chinesepod.com (Mandarin)

And you should have a look at Dr.Pimsleur's methodology in language education. Find it here:
